DESCRIPTION:Bookinmgs not required for Wed Walks. Upper Orroral Valley -
  15 km Leader: Peter Wellman (6288 5985). This is a walk along grassland
 s of the open upper Orroral Valley. We start at the picnic area of the o
 ld radio tracking station and walk on the Orroral Valley Circuit foot tr
 ack to the Smokers Trail then back. The walk is about 4 hours duration. 
 The grasslands are still looking fine, and this walk is an opportunity t
 o do this seldom done easy walk before it gets too hot. Total climb is 1
 40 m. Map: Corin Dam. Cars: 90 km ($13). Meet at Kambah Village shopping
  centre car park (corner Drakeford Drive and Marconi Crescent, opposite 
 the petrol service station), leaving at 8:30 am. The maximum temperature
  on the walk should be about 4oC less than that in Canberra, so on the w
 alk it may have a high of 20oC. Those doing their first Wednesday walk a
 nd also prospective walkers who are not members of either the NPA, BBC o
 r CBC clubs must contact the leader to discuss the level of difficulty o
 f the walk.
