Solitary Islands Coastal Walk - Red Rock to Sawtell
Sat 05th Apr 2025
Back-pack, Car Camp
The Solitary Islands Coastal Walk is a 4 day, 63 km walk following several coastal nature reserves along the northern NSW coast. It’s a well formed path that will take us along many headlands, beaches, inlets and several coastal villages along the Coffs coast. It starts from Red Rock in the north and makes its way through Woolgoolga, Moonee Beach, Park Beach, Coffs Harbour and finishes at Sawtell. We will be car camping, so you have the option of camping or staying in cabins at seaside caravan parks along the way. We will car shuffle between the start and finish of each daily walk, then drive to each van park for our overnight stays, so you have the option of carrying your full pack and camping gear each day if you wish or leaving your gear in your car or cabin and just carrying a day pack.
Daily walking distances range from 12km to 22km.
If you’re interested, let me know and I can send you a detailed itenary of the walk distances each day and the van parks we’ll be staying at.
A multi day backpacking or base-camping activity.
