Daylight saving fitness training walk - Mt Majura

Daylight saving fitness training walk - Mt Majura

Tue 14th Jan 2025

Completed

Part-day, Walk

In January 2025 fitness training walks will be conducted up Mount Majura each Tuesday (7, 14, 21 & 28 January).

The walks will start from the car park at the Antill Street entrance to the Majura Nature Reserve next to the end of the houses in Hackett. From there we will walk up to the Mount Majura summit via a series of firetrails. The route takes in some of the steepest firetrails in Majura Nature Reserve. The return to the car park will be a more direct route, part of which will be along the Casuarina walking trail. In order to facilitate the tracking of changes in our fitness we'll do the same route every week over the month. The entire walk is on firetrails and well formed walking tracks.

Each of the four walks will be posted separately on Bilby. If you wish to improve your fitness you should ideally participate in all the walks, but that is not a requirement. Do as many walks as you would like.

If the weather looks unsuitable for the walk, I will advise all participants with valid bookings by 5 pm if the walk is still on or not.

Please bring a headlamp.

A walk or similar activity with a duration of a day or part day. No overnight gear required.
