DAYLIGHT SAVING GET FITNESS WALK MT TAYLOR
For the next 4 Tuesdays 15th, 22nd ,29th Oct and 5th Nov I will lead walks up Mt Taylor as part of a Get Fitness Campaign To the summit and return is ~230m climb and ~ 5km distance. Please meet and park your car on the grassed area at the corner of Badimara St and the second Nemarang Street in Waramanga by 5.45pm on Tuesdays, ready to leave by 6pm From there we start timing ourselves. We walk through the underpass and along a track for about 25 minutes to the beginning of the Zigzag track. We climb steadily on this well made track with 5 zigzags to the summit of Mt Taylor On reaching the summit reward yourself with fantastic views to the south of Mt Tennant and Tuggeranong Valley , to the north-westerly Brindabellas and the Molongo development, Black Mt and the Arboretum ,easterly to Woden settlements . We will descend via another track which becomes quite rough-just to remind ourselves that we are bushwalkers and not parkrunners, returning to your car within 40mins or so. Week 2, Week 3 and 4 will be the same., however as there are different tracks we may take those to the summit of Mt Taylor. And at the completion of this 4 week fitness campaign you are invited to celebrate and have a BBQ meal at my place, and hear about my next 4 week fitness route. NO NEED TO BOOK JUST TURN UP if extremely wet it will be cancelled Janet Duncan if need contact text 0423 213 679
