DESCRIPTION:This walk is part of CBC's Super week of Walks celebrating t
 he 40th year of Namadgi National Park, the Canberra Bushwalking Club and
  bushwalking in general. What better way to celebrate the 40th year of N
 amadgi National Park than by visiting the mountain that shares its name 
 (image - Craig L.). From Yankee Hat car park walk the Gudgenby grassland
 s to cross Middle Creek and then handrail it upwards to set up camp at B
 ig Creamy Flats. Day 2 begins with an early start for a morning ascent o
 f Mt Namadgi. After returning to camp, the walk out is the reverse of Da
 y 1. The route involves all off-track walking including rough ground and
  moderate scrub and is only suited to pack-walkers experienced with thes
 e conditions.
