DESCRIPTION:CBC has been invited to contribute 4 walks to celebrate the 
 40th anniversary of the declaration of Namadgi National Park. These are 
 public facing events - the ACT Government will advertise them and handle
  bookings from the public. 2 activity leaders (and the activity owner) a
 re needed to provide guidance and assistance to attendees. **Please only
  book on this trip if you are a CBC leader.** Drive around 35km south th
 rough Namadgi National Park to the site of the former Orroral Valley Tra
 cking Station. A very steep walk on refurbished Grade 4 track through ta
 ll forest and granite boulders to views of the Orroral Valley from the f
 ormer geodetic observatory. A special surprise on the return as the trac
 k wends its way through massive tors. Around 8km return, 400 vertical me
 tre climb and 4+ hours, suitable for fit adults accompanying children ov
 er 12. Opportunity to stay on and explore the tracking station site.
