Leisurely stroll to Shepherd's lookout

Leisurely stroll to Shepherd's lookout

Tue 28th May 2024

Completed

Part-day, Walk

An oldy but a goody. 6.8 km return walk. Lovely scenary along the way weaving our way through forests and grasslands with spectacular views of the Murrumbidgee from the look out. We will start at 9am from the Link at Ginninderry and take around 4 - 5 hours. Moderate difficulty rated track but no large climbs and is a good walk for those that like the slower pace. We can stop and rest whenever is needed. There are toilets at the start and obviously when we finish. The coffee shop is unfortunately closed on Tuesdays but the Link at Ginninderry is worth a visit on completion. Please bring clothing suitable for the weather, morning tea and lunch if we set a slower pace and water. I will keep an eye on the weather and if it is poor we will postpone. I am a fair weather walker. Feel free to send me a message if you need to. This walk is aimed at the slower pace walkers so please don't sign up if that will be too slow for you.
