Bagging the big ones: walk to Mts Bimberi, Murray and Morgan

Walk, Alpine, Back-pack

Now fully booked: waitlist started. This is a four day walk to three high peaks in northern Kosciuszko including the highest and third-highest ones in the ACT. Day 1 involves driving to the end of the road east of Tantangara Reservoir (Pockets Saddle Rd) then walking along the Blue Waterholes, Murrays Gap and Lone Pine fire trails to a campsite on the upper Goodradigbee River; on day 2 we'll visit Mt Morgan (1,875m) along on old walking track then scrub-bash over Mt Murray (1,846m: 3rd highest peak in the ACT) before descending to Murrays Gap where we'll camp; on day 3 we'll do a half-day walk up to Mt Bimberi (1,913m: highest peak in the ACT) before returning to Murrays Gap then walk down to Oldfields Hut where we'll camp; and on day 4, we'll walk out to the cars along the Murrays Gap and Blue Waterholes fire trails. Final group size will depend on number of people volunteering to drive their vehicles.
