Glenburn Heritage Circuit - trip now full.
Sat 20th Apr 2024
Join me in a leisurely circuit walk around this historical area. Originally walked by the Ngunawal people thousands of years ago as they traversed from the sea to the mountains this area was settled in the 1800s by Europeans with Glenburn being the name of the first homestead. Remnants of the early 19th-century wool, mining and charcoal fuel production are still visible as are the slab huts, shearing/woolsheds, haysheds, a sheep dip, home orchards, and vegetable patches. It was a tough life for settlers but it'll be easy for us as it's entirely all on firetrail with the tiniest bit of off-track through an open field.
