Evening Walk - Wanniassa Nature Reserve - MacArthur Hill, TG107 and beyond
Thu 08th Feb 2024
Part-day walk
From Fadden Pines Park car park, we'll briefly walk through the pine forest to Coyne Street. After crossing Coyne Street we'll climb MacArthur Hill, this is a steep climb but from then on the hills are easy going. From Macarthur Hill we can follow the Karralika Fire Trail onto Trig 107 then to Wanniassa Hill. Another option is we can be adventurous and follow some interesting tracks around the southern end of Wanniassa Nature Reserve. Open to suggestions on the day especially if it's a warm evening. The walk provides good views to the south and east of the ACT, highlight of the walk may possibly be a clear view of Mugga Lane Resource centre and beyond.
Great opportunity to do some nature correctedness by switching off and tuning into the nature office. ?
