We will start by walking alon g a low ridge from Cook to the Aranda bushland. From there we pick up th e Frost Hollow trail and look for our first tree - an Apple Box. We then head towards the Frost Hollow itself, passing Blakely’s Red Gum, Yell ow Box and Candlebark on the way. We then pass some Snow Gums before wal king up hill in the Aranda bushland. On the way up look for the Red Stri ngybark and the Broad-leaved Peppermint trees, further uphill we should see Red Box. The track takes us downhill again passing Scribbly Gums and Brittle Gums. You may need a torch for the return journey depending on how fast we walk. No need to book. Meeting at 6:30pm near the horse padd ocks in Mackellar Crescent, Cook. There is a small turning to the horse paddocks between house numbers 57 and 61. All participants must sign the ‘Acknowledgment of Risks and Obligations’ form which I will bring w ith me.
