The part they did was only 61km but took them 6 days. Its toughness comes from it often being more of a route than a track and the fact tha t you've got to climb and descend nearly 4,000m. You also have to negoti ate 12 daunting triple-wire bridges and ward off millions of sandflies. But it had lovely river scenery and stunning alpine views enhanced by a fair amount of snow still being on the southern slopes of surrounding pe aks. A rewarding walk but not for the faint hearted; a presentation you should not miss! No booking is required. Family and friends are welcome. Tea and coffee will be provided after the presentation.
