A look around Yanununbeyan National Park
Sun 15th Oct 2023
Walk
We enter Yanunubeyan National Park via Groses South Trail, climbing to connect with the Foxlow Trail, where we make our way to Mt Foxlow (1210m). Sadly no views from Mt Foxlow but the Mt Foxlow trail allows glimpses of the valley below. Once we have reached Mt Foxlow most of the climbing for the day is done and we'll enter a steady but fairly gentle descent down the Foxlow Trail to the Camelot Trail. The vegetation in the park is thicker here and there are some venerable veteran trees to be admired. The Camelot trail gives some nice views over the Molonglo valley. We go off-track for the last 2km or thereabouts to return to Groses South Trail to close the loop, avoiding the Camelot property.
A walk or similar activity with a duration of a day or part day. No overnight gear required.
