Booking status 11 Apr 12 places 12 accepted 1 waitlisted (needs to supply further information). Additional bookings w ill be added to the waiting list and acceptance will depend on the numbe r of withdrawals. It's a long drive to this walk (2h), but it has a lot of points of interest. First, we visit a number of lookouts of Fitzroy, Twin and Lady Hordern Falls. The lyrebirds which live here may give us a concert. Then we follow fire trails southward to a stone ruin, whose hi story remains mysterious. Soon after, we cross a fertile basalt intrusio n where (if it survived the fires) rainforest grows on top of the platea u (dicksonia tree ferns, pictured). The intrusion is clearly identifiabl e in Six maps satellite view. Finally, we reach a point (map ref 666598) above Manandoo Falls, which may or may not be hidden in the shadows ben eath the cliffs. In good weather there are excellent views across the Ya rrunga valley to the bold sandstone faces of Mt Carrialoo. THIS INFORMAT ION IS IMPORTANT. This walk has car pooling with home pickups (where fea sible). ONLY BOOK IF WILLING to share your a) real name with all partici pants b) email, phone number and street address with the leader and othe rs in the same vehicle as you and c) vehicle and emergency contact detai ls with the leader. A BOOKING WILL NOT BE APPROVED until all this inform ation is visible to the leader in Bilby. URL:https://canberrabushwalkingclub.mybilby.com/activities/2125 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
