Walk, Back-pack
A three day walk in northern Kosciuszko NP. Leader Linda Groom. Day 1: Walk in, mostly off track through unburnt forest to the head of Gurrangoramba Creek. Camp on a grassy shelf above intact sphagnum wetlands. Day 2: With day packs, climb Mt Morgan (at least 320 vertical metres) for spectacular views from its rocky tops. Day 3: Walk out by a different route. Pace will be moderate, particularly uphill.

Terrain information
Approx 3 km management trail/dirt road, and 1 km foot pad. The rest a mix of forest with long grass, light scrub, thick scrub, and steep rocky slopes, possibly with some scrambling. Quite a few logs to step over. Possibly some creek-leaping.
Transport information
Approx 3 hour drive from Canberra, including nearly an hour on gravel road, departing Canberra 7.30 am to 8 am. $190 per vehicle. For Covid caution, the default is 2 people per vehicle i.e. $95 each, unless participants prefer otherwise.
Accommodation information
Fuel stoves only. Careful boot hygiene before the walk, to protect this rarely-walked ecology.
A multi day backpacking or base-camping activity.
