Key features are a detour up a creek line and open spur instead of the Banks Steep Track, and a very pleasant off-track descent west from Mt Rob Roy through woodland. Most of the rest is fire trail; a little long grass. An early start at 6.30am to beat the heat, finished by around 11am. RU⇧4it with an R! Around 10km and 600vm.
