THIS TRIP IS NOW FULL. Leader: Meg McKone. Approx two weeks car camping with day walks amongst the dramatic volcanic scenery of the Warrumbungles and Nandewars of western NSW, with the possibility of one or two overnight walks. A change of pace in the Pilliga (threatened by gas exploration) viewing traditional Aboriginal rock art plus the modern Aboriginal "Sculptures in the Scrub Trail", visiting the iconic Pilliga Pottery and experiencing a wide variety of bird life and other native animals.

Mainly on tracks with some steep ascents/descents, depending on the individual walk. Some walks will be short and easy.
Transport information
Drive to Coonabarabran, thence the Warrumbungles and Pilliga, then on to Narrabri for Mt Kaputar. Mainly on highways, but some dirt roads in the NPs. Approx $2800kms, $1,250 per vehicle.
