DESCRIPTION:(FULLY BOOKED, Waitlist started) A walk to traverse the remo
 te Cobberas range in Victoria, and to climb The Pilot in the southern re
 gion of Kosciuszko NP. The walk is a mixture of track, firetrails and so
 me rugged, off-track sections with the highlights being several Cobberas
  peaks, Cowombat Flat, remnents of an old RAAF DC-3 crash site, Murray S
 pring, Black Allen Cairn and The Pilot. Day 1 we start with a long, bump
 y drive to Native Dog Flat Campground, via the Barry Way and Limestone R
 d, and car camp there overnight. Days 2 and 3 are spent traversing the C
 obberas range followed by 2 nights camping at Cowombat Flat. Day 4 is a 
 long day (19km) with daypacks climbing to The Pilot via the Cowombat Tra
 ck, and returning via an off-track decent to Forest Hill visiting Black 
 Allen Cairn No1 and Murray Spring. Day 5 we return to the cars via Cowom
 bat Flat Track (also AAWT) followed by the drive home. For experienced o
 ff-track pack walkers, some sections are rough and exploratory, pack lim
 its will apply.
