Fungi Walk Tidbinbilla

Please meet at Kambah Shops to pool transport by 9am. Drive to Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, you may need to buy a Pass and then drive onto Mountain Rd. Park cars at the Mountain Creek car park, the trackhead to Cascades Walk. At this carpark I will bring books and a chart about Fungi to show you. We slowly walk the Lyrebird/Cascades Walk, hopefully spying out some interesting Fungi. Return to the cars for morning tea. Then drive to the Sanctuary Area, again walking slowly around these attractive lakes, looking for Fungi and maybe seeing some platypus as well. The Koala enclosure is nearby and you may like to view these beautiful animals. Take some lunch to have on the way. Expect to return to Kambah about 3 to 4pm .
NOTE If BOM forecasts rain ALL day we will do this walk on the Sunday 6th Nov
To those who have booked I have done apreliminary search for Fungi at Tidbinbilla.Just like teh Botanic Gardens they simply not there I suspect the massive amount of rain hascaused germination and then drowned them,,poor little things. Janet
