Legoland family walk
A walk suitable for all ages to a spectacular granite outcrop in Namadgi National Park. We will walk 700 metres along a track, with a short stop to explore the 'half-way rocks', to the Legoland outcrop. From a sheltered area surrounded by giant boulders, there will be several optional circuits of 60 to 120 metres in length, through cracks and large caves and to viewpoints. If it is very hot we can spend most of the time in the caves. Bring lunch. Non-members welcome, but please remember if this is your 3rd walk with the Canberra Bushwalking Club, it is time to show your support by joining. Meet near the toilets at Honeysuckle Campground, Apollo Road (Google Maps recognises this address) which is a 50 minute drive from Civic, after which is it a further 10 minutes drive on dirt road, ok for 2WDs though steep in sections. We will leave Honeysuckle Campground promptly at 10.30 am.
